Sleep Grand Rounds

Sleep Grand Rounds is a monthly research seminar program that has been conducted each academic year since September 1996, incorporating faculty presentations on basic and clinical sleep research. Research scientists from Boston, Providence and Worcester area academic institutions as well as numerous visiting scientists have presented, and typical attendance ranges from 30 to 80 scientists and clinicians.

All presentations are approximately one hour, beginning at 12:00 PM, on selected Mondays in the Bornstein Family Amphitheater, between exits 5 and 6 off the 2nd Floor "Pike", in the Ambulatory Services Building, Brigham and Women's Hospital, 45 Francis Street.

If you would like to receive regular updates and reminders regarding this seminar series, please send an email request to Jennifer Opp (jopp@bwh.harvard.edu) to be added to the e-mailing list.

Videoconferencing:
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors (see Disclosure below), Sleep Grand Rounds is also available via videoconferencing technology to sleep research laboratories and classrooms at academic institutions both nationally and internationally. Those viewing via videoconference are not eligible for CME credit.

The Sleep Grand Rounds videoconference is interactive with a Q & A session at the end of the presentation. In order to participate, videoconferencing equipment is required (Polycom and Tandberg are the 2 major providers of this equipment).

Applications: If you are at an academic institution and would like to participate in Sleep Grand Rounds during the Q&A session via videoconference, please download the Videoconferencing Application (doc, 41kb). Please send completed forms via email to sleep_medicine@hms.harvard.edu.

New remote site applications must be submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance of the first lecture in which they will participate, and testing of the connection must be successfully completed at least one week in advance.
