Research Interests

Erin is interested in how early experience shapes topographic maps in sensory cortices. With a combination of imaging and electrophysiological techniques, she is investigating the development of thalamocortical projections during distinct periods of heightened neural plasticity. Erin received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Kansas while working in the lab of Dr. Brian Ackley. She is now pursuing a PhD in Dr. Takao Hensch’s lab as a member of the Molecules Cells and Organisms PhD program.
