Research Interests

I have had a broad experience in clinical Neurology and Sleep Medicine, practicing in a academic setting then in a  group practice and chairing and serving on many committees and boards.  I participated in a seminal research study of the Experiential Phenomena associated with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy.  In sleep medicine I have presented papers on the occurrence and treatment of adult night terrors, and the way treatment of insomnia with cognitive behavioral therapy improves utilization in a closed panel HMO. Most recently I have studied how support groups improve CPAP compliance.  My current interests are in improving CPAP compliance and in exploring the treatment of delayed sleep phase syndrome in adolescents, and in sleep in stroke.
