Duffy Elected Secretary-Treasurer of Sleep Research Society

Jeanne F. Duffy, PhD, MBA, neuroscientist the Harvard Medical School Division of Sleep Medicine, was recently elected secretary-treasurer of the Sleep Research Society (SRS). Read the press release here.

Duffy has been a member of the SRS since 1998 and recently completed a three-year term on the SRS Board of Directors. She was also the head of the society's Circadian Rhythms section from 2010 to 2012.

Duffy conducts research on human sleep and circadian rhythms, investigating areas such as waking performance, shift work, drowsy driving and individual differences in sleep timing, duration and response to sleep loss.

The SRS is the largest organization of scientists who carry out research on sleep and sleep disorders. The organization serves members and the field of sleep research through networking, training and education, and publishing the journal Sleep.
