Person of Interest: Dr. Charles Czeisler

Boston Magazine profiled Dr. Charles Czeisler, who has become the go-to guy for sports teams seeking advice about how to get players to perform at their best.

Dr. Czeisler has been advising sports teams including the Boston Celtics for several seasons about the importance of sleep health. Under his advice, the teams have changed players' schedules to ensure that they get a full night's sleep, in ways including the "2am rule," and eliminating early morning practices. This helps them avoid sleep deprivation that would affect their reaction time.
