Redesigned Harvard Catalyst Website announced

October 21, 2010

The Harvard Catalyst has launched its redesigned website with improvements drawn from suggestions and feedback from the Harvard community. The new enhancements seek to improve navigation and the look and feel of the site. Highlights of the redesign include:

  •  The site will serve as a portal to all of the resources and services we provide for researchers across the Harvard community. Everyone within Harvard can make use of it, and of the Harvard Catalyst.
  • Re-organization of resources to make them easier to find.
  • A new Pathfinder tool that can help investigators understand the kinds of research done and the resources available at each step along the translational research spectrum; the tool includes video interviews with researchers working at each of the translational steps.
  • A new version of Harvard Catalyst Profiles, a research social networking tool that helps researchers find others in different fields or institutions. Harvard Catalyst Profiles now provides more relevant search results, new ways of viewing researchers’ professional networks, and the option for concept-based (rather than person-based) searching.
  • Links to key resources like the clinical research support, consultations, and maps & directions are now right on the home page, as well as Q&As on topics such as how to find a collaborator, training opportunities, and research resources.
  • The home page also now includes a categorized list of new grant opportunities available in Grant Central, Harvard Catalyst's collaborative grant search and project management tool; which is updated weekly.
  • Additional resources including a Regulatory Atlas, information on the Harvard Catalyst Central Laboratory, and collaboration tools like My Projects and Skill Finder.
