Sleep Grand Rounds presentation by Aleksandar Videnovic, M.D., Associate Professor of Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Sleep Grand Rounds is a monthly research seminar, held throughout each academic year on Mondays at 12:00 PM in the Bornstein Amphitheater, 2nd Floor on the Pike in the Ambulatory Services Building, Brigham and Women's Hospital, 45 Francis Street.

Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Boston Children's Hospital is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team. 
 
Physician
Boston Children’s Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
 
AAPA accepts AMA category 1 credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME
 
Nurse
Boston Children’s Hospital designates this activity for 1.5 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
 
Pharmacy
Boston Children’s Hospital designates this activity for 1.5 continuing education credits for pharmacists. Pharmacists should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The primary audience for this program is researchers, clinicians and trainees with an interest in sleep and circadian rhythms and associated public health implications.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Assess cutting-edge and timely advances in basic and clinical research of sleep and sleep disorders and their applicability to clinical care.
• Identify the optimal treatment of sleep and circadian disorders.
• Improve patient care by discussing challenging cases with leading experts in the field of Sleep Medicine.

Those viewing via videoconference, webcast or viewing past recordings are not eligible for CME credit.

Personnel from commercial companies are welcome to attend Sleep Grand Rounds either in person or by videoconference. However, given conflict-of-interest concerns and the CME status of Sleep Grand Rounds, such personnel may not participate actively in Sleep Grand Rounds in any manner. Specifically, such attendees may not:

  • advertise, promote or display their products or commercial affiliation
  • provide food or other products or items
  • contribute comments or questions during the seminar or during the open question period immediately following the seminar
  • interact with other attendees before, during or after the seminar to discuss their products or solicit attendance at other meetings, etc.
