Research Interests
Sleep disorders are extremely common in children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). I am investigating the molecular mechanisms that underlie these disorders in animal models. My goal is better understand fundamental mechanisms that link brain development and sleep. This will hopefully lead to rational therapeutic approaches for children with sleep disorders and ASDs.
