On June 3, 2009 the Harvard Medical School Division of Sleep Medicine awarded the 2009 Peter C. Farrell Prize in Sleep Medicine to Robert W. McCarley, MD for his extraordinary lifetime scientific contributions to the field of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. McCarley presented a Special Session of Sleep Grand Rounds, "REM and non-REM sleep: Sorting Out Mechanisms and Models", followed by the seventh annual Division of Sleep Medicine Poster Session.
