AnnouncementHarvard faculty and fellows recognized at SLEEP 2008 meeting in Baltimore
June 16, 2008At the Sixth Annual Discovering the Secrets of Sleep Fundraising Dinner on June 8th, several Harvard young investigators were recongnized with awards. Receiving the Sleep Research Society Foundation's 2008 J. Christian Gillin, MD, Research Grant were:

At the June 9th plenary session, Sleep Research Society President Dr. Eric Nofzinger presented the 2008 SRS Distinguished Scientist Award to Charles A. Czeisler, PhD, MD, FRCP for his studies of circadian timing and the sleep-wake cycle.
Closing the plenary session, J. Allan Hobson, MD gave an excellent a keynote address on “Sleep, Dreaming and Consciousness – A New Paradigm.”
At Sleep 2008, Kun Hu, PhD was awarded the American Academy of Sleep Medicine "Circadian Rhythms Section Investigator Award" based on his abstract "Influences of postural tilt stress and the circadian system on cardiovascular risk factors". See full announcement.
